CBA Regional Competitions - 5A Metro Regional

CBA has five Regional State Qualifying Contests. Any band wanting to qualify for State Championships must participate in a Regional State Qualifying Contest. The CBA Marching Chair will publish the date and location of each Regional. The Marching Chair will also assign bands to a specific regional and publish that information. Bands will be required to participate in the contest at their assigned regional site.  Ralston Valley belongs to the Metro region for CBA Regional Competitions.

Each Regional host will send out entry information, collect entry fees, and send out all pertinent information to participating directors. This entry process is separate from the State Championship entry process. 

Performance times for each Regional will be done in order of Classification. Within each class the schedule will be determined by a blind draw in groups of four based upon the previous year placements. 

The CBA Marching Chair will publish a list of bands that qualify for State Championships based upon the results from the five Regional State Qualifying Contests.

Tentative RV Competition Day Schedule:

~2:30 p.m.: Food donations arrive at RV

2:45 p.m: Drivers transporting students arrive at RV

3:00 p.m.: Students leave RV

Time TBD: Trailer Drivers arrive at RV

~4:30 p.m.: Props/Pit Volunteers and Uniform/Water helpers arrive at DCHS

6:15 p.m.: Performance

6:35 p.m: Hospitality Servers meet at the hospitality trailer immediately after the performance

~7:15 p.m.: Dinner

8:00 p.m.: Drum Major Retreat

~9:30 p.m.: Students arrive back at RV

~9:45 p.m.: Parents to pick up students at RV

Per CBA Rules, pit crew and prop volunteers will be required to have a Field Pass wristband to enter the field and will be admitted to the FIELD ONLY. Pit crew and prop volunteers will not be admitted to the stands without a purchased attendance wristband.
