Auditions Wednesday November 16th @ Lakewood High School

• Please prepare the Jeffco Honor Orchestra Etudes/Scales UNLESS you are auditioning for All State.

  • If you are not auditioning for All State, then you should not be playing the All State audition for Jeffco Honor Orchestra auditions.

  • If you are auditioning for All State and would prefer to put together the Jeffco Honor Orchestra Audition, you can do that.

• If you are completing the All State Audition Process, you can perform the All State Major Scale and the two excerpts as your All County Audition.

• A few things to consider:

  • Perform the level that is right for you - play what will make you most successful. The All-State audition is incredibly challenging - if you aren’t quite ready for it, that is ok, play the Jeffco Honor Orchestra Audition material.

  • There are no extra points or extra credit for doing the All State Audition. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.

  • There is no guarantee that playing the All State music will give you a higher chair or guarantee you a place in the group. Judges will pay attention to your musicianship, technique, and style regardless of which audition material you play.
